Very RARE, Gerling antique cloth, male boudoir bed doll c1927 great outfit XLNT

Description

This is an extremely hard to find, antique
c1920s, male cloth boudoir
or bed doll by the
GERLING Co.
(sometimes in conjunction with the
Jane Gray Co. of New York City
). He measures
22 inches tall
with a cotton sateen head with
SWIVEL neck
and nicely molded and painted features including blue eyes with highlights and light brown shadow and wonderful lip details. He still has his original, thick blond, boy style wig beneath his original charming gold felt hat with black band. He has floppy joints at his shoulders and hips with shaped feet, finely stitched hands with individually sewn fingers and well shaped cloth body. He wears what appears to be his complete original outfit consisting of an off-white, long cotton shirt with long sleeves and charming embroidery details as well as gold woolen knee britches with gold button closures and waist detail, (original cloth label still affixed) blue wool jacket with red trim, tie, brown socks and shoes with ties. He is in excellent, very clean condition with no damages or repairs and from a smoke free home. He’ll make an excellent companion for some of your female boudoir dolls as dolls by this manufacturer are seldom available.
